MEMBERSHIP TERMS & CONDITIONS 

This policy is valid from 1st January 2024

Welcome to the BrandSpace Business Club (hereafter referred to as the Club). The Club is a purpose-driven members’ club designed for members to meet, learn and grow their business. Here you can tap into the knowledge and creative power of like-minded SME owners and entrepreneurs. Build your own professional network. Develop and grow your business. Relax with clients, friends and associates.

We offer three types of memberships (see below). All members become part of our business community, enjoying access to an exceptional collaborative workspace including WiFi and printing facilities.

MEMBERSHIP PACKAGES

Annual membership

Annual memberships start on the 1st of the month following registration. If a member joins part-way through a month they will receive discretionary benefits on any BrandSpace events attended before their membership officially starts.

Annual memberships are based on 10 months of activities and are valid for 12 calendar months from the start date (see below for details of the business hub opening hours and annual holidays). The membership is an annual commitment so if you choose to resign your membership part-way through a year there is no refund.

Discounts for conference room hire, other space hire and special events will be offered according to requirements. Enquiries to joanne@brandspace.ch.

Monthly membership

Monthly memberships start on the 1st of the month following registration. If a member joins part-way through a month they will receive discretionary benefits on any BrandSpace events attended before their membership officially starts.

Monthly memberships will be automatically renewed on the 1st of each month unless cancelled in writing at least 14 days in advance. Memberships taken out on 1st July 2024 will be valid until 31st August 2024, due to the summer closure of the business hub. Memberships taken out on the 1st December 2024 will be valid until 31st January 2025, due to the Christmas closure of the business hub. Day passes for the workspace are available to purchase for CHF35- but are limited according to capacity. Day passes include all the benefits of the collaborative workspace including tea, coffee, water and tasty treats. Conditions for workspace reservations are given below. Priority for booking workspaces is given to Annual and Monthly members. Discounts for conference room hire, other space hire and special events will be offered according to requirements. General information

The commitment from BrandSpace includes access to the workspaces at the business hub in Meilen, from 9am-4pm, Monday-Friday for a maximum of 44 weeks per calendar year. In 2024 the business hub will be closed from Monday 15th July-Friday 16th August, and Monday 16th December-Friday 3rd January 2025, inclusive.

In addition to the annual closures BrandSpace may at times close all or part of the business hub to members and their guests for community events or other happenings, operational reasons or necessary maintenance or repair work. We will endeavour to give reasonable notice of any change to the schedule, and ensure that the space is reinstated as soon as possible.

Memberships are non-transferable, non-exchangeable and (other than as provided for in the terms and conditions) non-refundable and cannot be redeemed for cash. We reserve the right to change the prices and conditions and to occasionally offer special rates, which are not available to existing members.

In the event of any dispute between you and BrandSpace concerning these terms and conditions, the laws of Switzerland will apply.

WORKSPACE RESERVATIONS

Due to capacity, we ask that members book their workplaces at least 24 hours ahead of time so we can ensure a safe and comfortable space for all. There is no additional charge for Annual or Monthly members for workspaces but we respectfully ask that any cancellations for workspaces are sent no later than 24hrs in advance so that we can offer the space to another member.

Dogs

We are dog-friendly! However, due to capacity we respectfully ask that you inform us in advance if you wish to bring your dog. We can only accommodate up to two small, well-behaved dogs in the space at any one time. Dogs cannot be left unattended at any time, but there are plenty of lovely walks nearby which we will be very happy to give you details for.

SPACE HIRE

The BrandSpace business hub has many different spaces available for private hire. From the conference room to the garden area, there are many options for social happenings and business events. Members receive preferential rates on space hire. Please contact joanne@brandspace.ch for further information.

COMMUNITY GUIDELINES

Intellectual property and data protection: we ask you to ensure that you have the rights and consents (including any third-party intellectual property and proprietary rights) you need to create content in our business hub and digital spaces – as well as rights and consents for both you and us to share the content on your channels or ours. If any other individuals appear in any content you create, we ask to you to ensure that they are at least 18 years of age and that you have obtained their consent to show their personal information and/or image in the content. 

BrandSpace: we ask you to ensure that any content you produce, connections you make or conversations you have do not harm, defame or damage the BrandSpace brand or reputation in any way. 

Safe space: We are firmly against Hate speech, bullying and abuse. We do not allow threats of violence, hateful, defamatory or derogative words or speeches – or the targeting of private individuals. We do not allow attacks or abuse based on race, ethnicity, national origin, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, disability or disease.

PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA

Terms

Personal data is all information that relates to a specific or identifiable person. A data subject is a person about whom personal data is processed. Processing includes any handling of personal data, regardless of the means and procedures used, in particular the storage, disclosure, procurement, collection, deletion, storage, modification, destruction and use of personal data.
